Senior MCP Leaders Express Confidence in President Chakwera for 2025 Election




Senior members of the Malawi Congress Party (MCP), led by Chris Chaima Banda, have stated that President Chakwera will face the 2025 election with confidence, citing his exemplary leadership in the country.
They made these remarks today while emphasizing their support for him at the party's national convention scheduled for August this year.

They further indicated that if challenged for the position, they will work with those contesting against them, and in case of difficulty, they will seek reconciliation.

The party's vice president for the central region, Patrick Chilondola, urged all contenders to focus on building the party rather than attacking each other.

Among those contesting for the position are Eisenhower Mkaka and Simplex Chithyola Banda.
