Vice President Saulos Chilima has returned to Malawi after attending the 60th-anniversary celebrations of the Union of Tanganyika and Zanzibar, now the Republic of Tanzania, where he was invited by President Samia Suluhu Hassan. The event marked a significant milestone in Tanzania's history, and Chilima's attendance reinforced the strong bilateral relationship between Malawi and Tanzania.

During the celebrations, Chilima emphasized the importance of unity and togetherness, urging people to put aside their differences and work towards a prosperous nation. He highlighted that the union between Tanganyika and Zanzibar serves as a powerful symbol of the strength that comes from unity and collaboration.
