Promoting Political Tolerance: A Call to Action in Malawi



The National Initiative for Civic Education (NICE) has urged political leaders in Malawi to prioritize political tolerance within their communities and avoid creating exclusion zones.

During an engagement meeting with political leaders in Dowa District, Programs Officer Alinafe Chikakuda emphasized the significance of political tolerance, highlighting that multi-party democracy offers opportunities for all citizens to engage in political activities.

Ruth Wonderson, the Malawi Congress Party Constituency chairlady, commended NICE for its efforts in promoting political tolerance and inclusivity.

Jamison Chanziya, the Dowa West Democratic Progressive Party governor, expressed support for fostering tolerance and peaceful coexistence among political entities in the region.
