Ras David Chikomeni Chirwa Seeks Funding for Presidential Campaign
Ras David Chikomeni Chirwa is seeking financial support amounting to 200 million kwacha to aid his presidential campaign efforts.
Chirwa said that he has begun soliciting assistance from individuals interested in supporting him, particularly for his participation in the upcoming 2025 presidential elections.
In addition, Chirwa stated that the funds would enable him to organize rallies and pay for the operational costs of his campaign team.
He further elaborated that he plans to hold large-scale rallies in Lilongwe at Masintha or Chinsapo in August, as well as in Blantyre at Ndirande or Njamba.
Chirwa then urged people to take part in fundraising events in order to contribute to the advancement of his campaign and the transformation of the country.
MEC (Malawi Electoral Commission) rejected Chirwa's application in 2019 after failing to pay the required 2 million kwacha fee, which all presidential aspirants must pay to participate in the election.
