POLICE FORCE TO BE BOOSTED BY 6,000 NEW RECRUITS UNDER TONSE ADMINISTRATION
The President of the country, Dr. Lazarus Chakwera, during his tenure in office, emphasized the need for a robust police force to address the challenges facing the nation in terms of security and law enforcement.
The head of state made these remarks while presiding over the passing out parade of police recruits who had completed their training at the Police Training School in Limbe, Blantyre.
Under the Tonse Alliance government, it has been announced that 6,000 new police officers will be recruited, marking the first step in this initiative.
Additionally, 1,367 young men and women have completed their training and are set to join the police force.
