Former President Mutharika Reflects on Challenges Faced During His Administration
Former President of Malawi, Peter Mutharika, has stated that the country has not made significant progress since he left office.
He mentioned that during his time in office, starting in 2014, the nation experienced financial mismanagement issues similar to the cashgate scandal.
However, he claimed that his administration took corrective measures and started making progress.
Mutharika expressed his belief that if he were still the president, things would not have deteriorated to the extent they have reached now in the country.
He stated that if given the chance to lead again, he would engage with other political parties at the national conference and compete with them in future elections.
